County attorneys must submit monthly criminal case statistics reports to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission beginning January 1, 2021 for 24 consecutive months, with data on indicted cases, plea agreements, trial presentations, and sentences.

Reports must include detailed information on each defendant's charges (misdemeanor vs. felony), verdicts, sentences, sentencing enhancements, prior felony convictions, drug amounts involved, and defendant demographics (age, race/ethnicity, gender).

The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission must post all county attorney reports on its public website with permanent public access to the data.

$150,000 is appropriated from the drug and gang enforcement resource center fund for fiscal years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 to county attorney offices to cover costs of preparing the reports.

The reporting requirement expires June 30, 2023.
