House Bill 2614 Summary

• Repeals section 41-3020.12 of Arizona Revised Statutes relating to the archaeology advisory commission.

• Adds new section 41-3021.04 establishing that the archaeology advisory commission terminates on July 1, 2021.

• Provides that section 41-847 and the new section 41-3021.04 are repealed on January 1, 2022.

• Continues the archaeology advisory commission to provide expert advice to the state historic preservation officer on archaeological education, site protection, and archaeological activities in Arizona.

• Applies retroactively to July 1, 2020.
