AZ HCR2002

Ratifies the proposed amendment to the United States Constitution (House Joint Resolution 208) that guarantees equal rights for men and women under the law.

Implements the amendment language stating "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State on account of sex."

Grants Congress the power to enforce the amendment through appropriate legislation.

Provides that the amendment becomes effective two years after the date of ratification.

Directs the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit a copy of the resolution to the President of the United States Senate and Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
