HCR 2008 Summary

• Proposes an amendment to Article XI of the Arizona Constitution by adding Section 12
• Prohibits the legislature from deferring school district payments that are scheduled by law to be made in one fiscal year to the following fiscal year
• Requires voter approval through a general election before the constitutional amendment takes effect
• Secretary of State must submit the proposition to voters as prescribed by Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution
