HCR 2015 Summary

• Directs the Attorney General and State Land Department to oppose establishment of any new or additional federal landholdings in Arizona.

• Requires opposition to any change in status of federal, state, and private lands to national parks, monuments, conservation areas, wilderness areas, or other federal designations without state legislative approval.

• Instructs the Attorney General and State Land Department to use all available means to reduce the percentage of federal landholdings in Arizona to levels comparable to states east of Colorado.

• Directs the Attorney General and State Land Department to eliminate restrictive wilderness area designations on public lands within the state using every available means.
