AZ HCR2025

Proposes a constitutional amendment to repeal Article IV, part 2, section 6 of the Arizona Constitution, which currently provides legislators with privilege from arrest and civil process.

The repeal would eliminate legislative immunity protections that shield state representatives and senators from civil lawsuits and certain arrests while performing legislative duties.

Requires approval by Arizona voters at the next general election for the amendment to take effect.

Upon voter approval and gubernatorial proclamation, the repealed constitutional provision would no longer provide legal protections to legislators based on their legislative activities.
