AZ SB1009

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 48-4203 regarding powers and duties of multipurpose facilities district boards of directors.

Requires the senate finance committee and house ways and means committee (or successor committees) to hold either separate or joint hearings to consider the annual report submitted by districts established under section 48-4202, subsection B, rather than making hearings discretionary.

Clarifies that projects for construction or reconstruction exceeding $500,000 must be presented to the joint legislative committee on capital review.

Maintains existing requirements for district boards to submit annual reports by October 1 to the legislature regarding activities, operations, revenues, and expenditures.
