SB 1017 Summary

• Adds requirement for Arizona Department of Health Services to share information about registered nonprofit medical marijuana dispensaries with the Department of Revenue upon request, including dispensary name, registry number, physical address, cultivation site, tax license number, supplier information, and all sales data.

• Prohibits Department of Health Services from sharing specific information about individual registered qualifying patients collected from dispensaries.

• Requires three-fourths affirmative vote from both houses of the legislature for this amendment to Arizona Revised Statutes section 36-2806 to become effective, per Arizona Constitution Article IV, Part 1, Section 1.

• Designates the act as an emergency measure necessary to preserve public peace, health, or safety with immediate operative effect upon passage.
