Establishes a safe schools task force within the Arizona Department of Education to identify best practices and strategies for school-community partnerships addressing youth support needs.

Task force shall evaluate school safety materials including staff training on recognizing emotional/behavioral distress, response protocols, parent-student communication procedures, and post-incident support systems.

Task force must recommend by December 31, 2020: a unifying research-based approach to school safety, a model school safety plan, a clearinghouse of resources, evaluation of tip line value, and potential legislative or administrative changes.

Superintendent of Public Instruction shall post the adopted model safe schools plan and task force recommendations on the Department of Education website by February 1, 2021, including statewide school safety resources.

Section 15-160 is repealed effective December 31, 2021.
