SB 1078 Summary

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 28-5807 to allow the director to prorate both the annual vehicle license tax and registration fee when registering or reregistering a vehicle for less than twelve months.

• Prohibits the director from retroactively collecting vehicle license taxes or registration fees for any period when a vehicle was not registered, if the current owner did not own the vehicle during that unregistered period.

• Applies retroactively to August 30, 2019.
