SB1079 Summary

• Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions must adopt rules conforming to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Model Act, consistent with A.R.S. § 20-461.

• Department must amend existing rules governing coordination of benefits under A.R.S. § 20-1134.

• Department is exempted from state administrative rulemaking requirements (A.R.S. § 41-6) for one year following the effective date to implement these rules.
