Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 38-671 to modify the waiting period before state employees become eligible for the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Employees hired on or after October 1, 2020 become ASRS members on the thirty-first day of employment (reduced from the previous twenty-seventh week requirement).

Employees hired between July 20, 2011 and before October 1, 2020 continue to follow the original twenty-seven week waiting period.

Does not apply to persons already members of the state retirement system at the time of hire.

Defines "state employee" as persons employed by Arizona state agencies, universities under the Arizona Board of Regents, the judicial branch, and the legislature.
