Requires school districts and charter schools to establish annual, age-appropriate sexual abuse prevention education and training for employees and students beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, using guidelines developed by the Department of Education.

Schools must provide students with at least two opportunities each year to attend the required training, and all enrolled students must participate annually.

New school employees must receive training on recognizing sexual abuse and maltreatment during orientation, with existing employees trained on a schedule set by their school; teachers and administrators with prior child abuse prevention training under section 15-218 are exempt.

Schools must post in a visible public area the Department of Child Safety's toll-free number for reporting child abuse or neglect, and include a description of the training program in their handbook or website.

The law does not require sex education instruction and is titled the "Child Abuse Prevention Training Program Act."
