All administrative rules adopted before the bill's effective date expire on July 1, 2022, unless agencies reauthorize them through standard rulemaking procedures.

Beginning July 1, 2023, the entire administrative code expires annually unless the legislature approves its continuation for up to one year.

Agencies must follow existing procedures in the administrative procedures act to extend or renew rules before their expiration.

"Rule" is defined as any rule published in the administrative code.
