Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 15-721 and 15-722 to prohibit governing boards from approving textbooks or instructional materials that reflect adversely on persons based on race, ethnicity, sex, religion, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Applies the prohibition to both common schools and high schools when selecting and approving textbooks and supplemental instructional materials.

Makes minor technical corrections to textbook approval procedures, including changing language from "prior to" to "before" and "e-mail" to "email."

Maintains existing requirements for public notice, open committee meetings, and public comment periods during the textbook approval process.
