• Requires schools and charter schools to provide parents or guardians access to all instructional materials currently used or being considered for use, upon written request and advance notice.

• School districts and charter schools must post a listing of approved instructional materials on their websites by August 1 each year, organized by school, grade level, and subject matter, including title, author, and associated organization or website.

• Schools must post procedures for parents and guardians to access instructional materials in the same prominent website location as the materials listing.

• Defines "instructional materials" to include textbooks (digital or print), reading materials, websites, films, and online applications/databases used for pupil instruction in classroom settings.
