Reduces classroom observation requirements from at least two observations to one observation per school year, with optional informal walk-throughs throughout the year as an alternative method to evaluate teacher performance.

Removes the requirement for at least 60 calendar days between first and last observations and eliminates the restriction on conducting observations within two instructional days of extended school closures.

Allows qualified evaluators to conduct a series of informal walk-throughs instead of formal observations to determine teacher performance in the evaluation system.

Maintains existing provisions for teacher evaluation systems with four performance classifications (highly effective, effective, developing, ineffective) and requirements for performance improvement plans and professional development.
