Establishes a study committee under the Arizona State Board of Nursing to evaluate requirements for demonstrating continued nursing competency during license renewal.

Committee must assess the adequacy of current nurse practice act requirements, empirical evidence for annual continuing education hours, feasibility of clinical simulation assessments, and alternative pathways for demonstrating competence.

Requires the Board of Nursing to submit a report on these findings to the Governor, legislature leadership, and relevant health committee chairs by December 1, 2020.

Appropriates $60,000 from the Board of Nursing Fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to support the study committee.
