Removes requirement that Arizona environmental standards be no more stringent than corresponding federal law, allowing the state to adopt stricter standards.

Mandates the Director of Environmental Quality establish drinking water aquifer quality standards for perfluorooctanesulfonic acid, perfluorooctanoic acid, chromium-6, 1,4 dioxane, and other perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances detected in public water systems.

Requires the department to review standards adopted by other states and peer-reviewed science when developing new drinking water standards, with annual reviews of latest scientific evidence.

Requires standards be protective of public health including vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants and children.

Designates the act as the "Arizona Safe Drinking Water Act."
