Proposes a constitutional amendment requiring gubernatorial nominees to select a lieutenant governor running mate and appear on the ballot as a joint ticket at least 60 days before the general election.

A single vote for a governor nominee counts as a vote for both the governor and lieutenant governor nominees on that joint ticket.

Changes lieutenant governor succession: the lieutenant governor succeeds the governor upon death, resignation, removal, or disability; if the lieutenant governor position becomes vacant, the governor appoints a replacement subject to legislative approval.

Modifies the order of succession to governor when both governor and lieutenant governor offices are vacant: secretary of state, attorney general, state treasurer, then superintendent of public instruction.

The amendment applies beginning with elections for the term of office starting in 2027.
