AZ SCR1016

Proposes to amend Article VII, Section 2 of the Arizona Constitution to lower the voting age from 18 years to 16 years old.

Maintains all other voter qualifications including U.S. citizenship and state residency requirements as prescribed by law.

Preserves existing constitutional provisions regarding disqualification of voters, including those adjudicated incapacitated or convicted of treason or felony unless restored to civil rights.

Requires submission of the proposed constitutional amendment to Arizona voters at the next general election for approval.
