AZ HB2076

Establishes additional filing, appearance, and answer/response fees in superior courts to be deposited in the Arizona lengthy trial and digital evidence fund, with the supreme court authorized to exempt cases involving minimal court resources, non-jury cases, or cases without digital evidence.

Renames the "Arizona lengthy trial fund" to the "Arizona lengthy trial and digital evidence fund" and authorizes use of fund monies to pay for management, storage, and display of digital evidence at trials and related proceedings, after funding juror compensation.

Increases the maximum additional fee for document and digital evidence storage from $15 to $24 per filing or appearance in superior courts, with monies used for converting to micrographics or computer automation and managing digital evidence.

Creates new section 22-282 requiring justice of the peace courts to collect and remit additional filing, appearance, and response fees to the Arizona lengthy trial and digital evidence fund, using the same exemption criteria as superior courts.

Repeals section 22-282 effective December 31, 2026.
