Law enforcement agencies must submit reports of missing, kidnapped, or runaway children to the Arizona Crime Information Center, National Crime Information Center, and National Missing and Unidentified Persons System within two hours of receiving the report.

Initial submission must include the child's name, date of birth, sex, race, height, weight, eye and hair color, recent photograph if available, date and location of last known contact, and missing child category.

Law enforcement must verify and update records within thirty days with additional information including medical and dental records and a recent photograph taken within the previous 180 days.

Law enforcement agencies must maintain coordination with state and local child welfare systems and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for information exchange and technical assistance.

Records may not be removed from any database or system until the child is found or the case is closed; additional notification to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is required for missing children in the foster care system.
