Establishes a nursing workforce preparation and shortage work group within the Department of Health Services to address Arizona's nursing workforce issues.

Work group consists of 20+ members including representatives from universities, community colleges, private institutions with nursing programs, health care facility employers (rural, urban, Indian health service), skilled nursing facilities, professional nursing organizations, and health care workforce research organizations.

Work group shall review nursing education curricula, establish a long-term plan to address nursing workforce shortages, prepare recommendations for curriculum changes, and evaluate the feasibility of a nurse residency pilot program.

Requires work group to report recommendations to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Arizona Board of Regents, and Joint Legislative Budget Committee on or before June 30, 2022.

Work group is repealed on December 31, 2023.
