AZ HB2140

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-2351 regarding license plate design and issuance by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Requires that beginning December 31, 2021, letters and numerals on license plates must be displayed in the same font color as the state name on the license plate.

Specifies that each license plate and special plate shall display the state name in the same font color, type, and size as determined by the department, effective December 31, 2021.

Maintains existing requirements that the director design license plates with letters and numerals of sufficient size to be readable from 100 feet during daylight.

Clarifies that passenger motor vehicles rented without a driver receive the same type of license plate as private passenger motor vehicles.
