Law enforcement agencies must collect and report use-of-force incidents to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission beginning January 1, 2022, with annual submissions thereafter, without identifying officer information.

Reported data must align with the FBI's National Use-of-Force Data Collection definitions and methods.

Arizona Criminal Justice Commission shall publish statewide aggregate and agency-specific use-of-force data in a publicly available database starting March 1, 2023, and annually thereafter.

Commission must conduct and release a public analysis of law enforcement use-of-force rates and trends by January 1, 2025, with updates at least every five years.

"Use-of-force incident" includes incidents involving officer-caused deaths, serious physical injuries, or firearm discharge at or toward a person.
