Establishes a study committee on statewide eviction prevention and housing affordability consisting of 19 members including legislators, state agency directors, housing authority representatives, property owners, landlords, constables, and community representatives.

Committee cochairpersons designated by the president of the senate and speaker of the house of representatives; committee shall meet quarterly or more frequently as needed.

Committee required to conduct comprehensive study on reducing eviction filings, review eviction-related policies and statutes, explore tenant rights protections, gather housing affordability data, and propose legislative revisions.

Committee must submit a report with findings and recommendations to the governor, president of the senate, speaker of the house of representatives, and secretary of state on or before December 1, 2021.

Committee members receive no compensation and the entire section is repealed effective October 31, 2022.
