• Amends alternate board member provisions to require the same level of access to all records, reports, and data as regular foster care review board members receive.

• Requires the Department of Child Safety to provide information to foster care review boards through an automated information exchange governed by a data sharing agreement between the department and the Administrative Office of the Courts.

• Mandates that progress reports prepared by the division or agency be sent to both the juvenile court and the foster care review board every six months.

• Grants the ombudsman-citizens aide and their assistant direct remote access to any automated case management system used by the Department of Child Safety, in addition to existing record access.

• Changes language throughout from gender-specific pronouns to gender-neutral terminology and makes minor technical corrections to statutory text.
