Increases the minimum cash assistance amount for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients from 36% to 40% of the federal poverty level, adjusted for family size.

Changes the reference year for calculating federal poverty level from 1992 to 2020.

Appropriates $13,000,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Department of Economic Security to implement the increase.

The appropriated funds are designated to raise TANF cash assistance levels to the national median as determined by the Department of Economic Security.
