Grants six weeks of paid family leave per fiscal year to state employees covered under title 41, chapter 4, article 4 or certain exempt employees for birth of a child or placement of a child through foster care or adoption.

State employees on family leave continue to receive their regular salary or compensation during the leave period.

Employees do not accrue annual leave or sick leave while receiving paid family leave compensation.

Director of the Department of Administration shall establish procedures for eligible state employees to request and receive family leave compensation.
