Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 13-1204 to add Department of Child Safety (DCS) employees to the list of protected persons for aggravated assault charges.

DCS employees are protected while engaged in official duties including investigating reports of abuse and neglect, providing or coordinating services to families or children, supervising visitation between children and families, and coordinating or managing client grievances.

Establishes that assaulting a DCS employee while performing these duties is a class 5 felony if the assault results in physical injury to the employee.

Applies the same protections to DCS employees as already exist for other public officials such as peace officers, prosecutors, teachers, and health care practitioners under aggravated assault statutes.
