AZ HB2350

Increases the Department of Agriculture Advisory Council from 5 to 9 members, expanding membership to include representatives from animal production, plant production, public health, agribusiness, and industries regulated under chapters 19 and 20 of Arizona Revised Statutes.

Adds two new member categories: two members from the public health sector and one member each from industries regulated under chapters 19 and 20.

Updates council membership requirements and language to use gender-neutral terminology throughout the statute.

Maintains existing council powers and duties including reviewing agricultural policy, assisting with administrative rules and budget formulation, and advising the director on proposed regulations.

Requires the director to provide written justification within 15 days if rejecting the advisory council's recommendations on rules, and mandates acceptance if recommendations are found practicable and in the best interests of Arizona agriculture and the public.
