HB 2395 Summary

• Prohibits parking in a private driveway if any part of the vehicle or attachment (including hitch or trailer) blocks a sidewalk and impedes continuous pedestrian use inconsistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

• Exempts temporarily parked vehicles that are actively loading or unloading from the sidewalk-blocking prohibition.

• Renumbers existing parking prohibition subsections in A.R.S. § 28-873 from items 2-15 to items 3-16 to accommodate the new private driveway restriction.

• Maintains all existing parking prohibitions including restrictions on sidewalks, intersections, fire hydrants, crosswalks, railroad crossings, fire station entrances, and controlled access highways.
