AZ HB2500

Establishes the youth entrepreneurship pilot program administered by the Arizona Commerce Authority to serve persons ages 16-23, providing entrepreneurial education, mentoring from small business owners, and opportunities for economic participation.

Awards grants to chambers of commerce to conduct the pilot program, with a required component serving youths in counties with populations under 750,000.

Appropriates $5,000,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Arizona Commerce Authority, including $50,000 each for seed capital awards to program graduates with meritorious business proposals in both smaller and larger counties.

Requires the Arizona Commerce Authority to submit annual reports by October 1 detailing program activities, number of youths served, and outcomes achieved.

Program authorization repeals on June 30, 2026.
