Court must inform individuals convicted of domestic violence offenses that they are prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and must transfer all firearms to law enforcement or a federally licensed dealer within 24 hours of sentencing.

Law enforcement or firearms dealers must provide proof of transfer to the person surrendering the firearm, including owner name, transfer date, and firearm serial number and description.

Person subject to transfer order has 48 hours to either attest they own no firearms or file proof that all firearms were transferred to law enforcement or a licensed dealer.

Individuals transporting firearms to law enforcement or dealers under a valid transfer order, with unloaded firearms, cannot be prosecuted for firearm possession or transportation.

Court can issue search warrants if probable cause exists that a person failed to transfer a firearm as ordered, with firearm seizure authority.
