Prohibits employers, labor organizations, and apprenticeship/training programs from discriminating against individuals based on protective hairstyles, race, or ethnicity.

Defines "protective hairstyle" to include braids, locks, and twists.

Expands the definition of "race or ethnicity" to include ancestry, color, ethnic group identification, ethnic background, hair texture, and protective hairstyles as traits historically associated with race.

Prohibits nursery, elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate private schools and other educational institutions from discriminating against individuals based on protective hairstyles, race, or ethnicity.

Applies the same definitions of "protective hairstyle" and "race or ethnicity" to schools as applied to employment.
