HB 2645 Summary

• Community colleges in Arizona must jointly conduct a study to determine the best methods for helping students learn about and apply for state and federal financial and other benefits programs.

• Study must include relevant stakeholders from the governor's office, community college leadership, and agencies that distribute or provide the benefits.

• Community colleges must submit a report with study findings and recommendations to the governor, legislature leadership, and relevant committee chairs by February 1, 2022.

• A copy of the report must be transmitted to the secretary of state.

• The requirement is repealed on December 31, 2022.
