Department of Health Services shall develop and distribute informational materials about emergency contraception and abortion services designed specifically for sexual assault survivors in a factually accurate and unbiased manner.

Department shall establish protocols for health care institutions, law enforcement agencies, and colleges and universities describing how to provide information to sexual assault survivors about emergency contraception, including that it does not cause abortion.

Health care institutions must provide written and oral information about emergency contraception, orally offer the option to receive it, promptly provide it upon request, and ensure staff are trained to give medically accurate information.

Law enforcement agencies and colleges and universities must provide sexual assault survivors with information about emergency contraception safety, effectiveness, and availability when appropriate.

Health care institutions, law enforcement agencies, and colleges and universities must follow the Department's protocols and ensure all personnel who interact with sexual assault survivors receive training on implementation.
