Repeals existing section 41-1608 of Arizona Revised Statutes and enacts a new version effective June 30, 2022.

Requires the Department of Corrections to directly administer all correctional health care services rather than contracting with private entities.

Prohibits the state from entering into contracts with private companies to provide correctional health care services beginning June 30, 2022.

Defines "correctional health care services" to include all medical, mental health, and dental services provided to prisoners in state-owned and operated facilities.
