AZ HB2782

Applies the Citizens Clean Elections Act to candidates for county board of supervisors, county assessor, county attorney, county recorder, county school superintendent, county sheriff, and county treasurer.

Requires candidates for these county offices to collect a minimum of 200 qualifying contributions and file reports with the county officer in charge of elections.

Establishes primary election spending limits based on county population: $1,500 for counties under 150,000 persons; $5,000 for counties with 150,000-499,999 persons; $16,000 for counties with 500,000 or more persons.

Requires a three-fourths affirmative vote in both houses of the legislature for this section to become effective, as mandated by the Arizona Constitution.
