Adds new subsection 5 to escape in the second degree making "attempting to escape from an adult correctional facility" a class 5 felony with consecutive sentencing.

Distinguishes between "attempting to escape" (class 5 felony) and "escaping" (class 4 felony) from adult correctional facilities under escape in the first degree provisions.

Adds new subsection 2 to escape in the first degree making "escaping from an adult correctional facility" (without force or weapons) a class 4 felony with consecutive sentencing.

Restructures escape in the first degree to specify that using or threatening physical force or deadly weapons/dangerous instruments applies when escaping from custody or any type of detention/correctional facility.

Requires sentences for escape convictions to run consecutively to any sentence of imprisonment, secure care facility confinement, or community supervision terms including probation and parole.
