AZ HB2800

Establishes that the legislature has plenary authority over elections and automatically convenes a special session beginning on the date of the regular primary election and regular general election, continuing for at least three days following election day.

Authorizes the legislature during the election special session to conduct hearings, receive testimony and evidence regarding election irregularities, and vote to either reject or confirm preliminary election results.

Requires the legislature to forward confirmed election results to the county board of supervisors, or forward findings to the attorney general for possible civil or criminal action if results are rejected.

Modifies the elections procedures manual approval process to require legislative approval by vote, in addition to review by the governor and attorney general, with submission to the legislature by the second Monday in January of each even-numbered year.
