Repeals requirement for the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions to prepare detailed billing statements for examinations showing time, expenses, and statutory authorization for fees charged.

Eliminates the limitation that examined persons are only responsible for direct costs of examinations supported by compliant billing statements effective December 31, 2021.

Continues to require examined parties (except adjusters, producers, and brokers) to pay examination costs, with adjusters, producers, and brokers only paying costs if violations are found.

Renumbers subsections in section 20-142 following the removal of the billing statement requirements, with home health services guidelines and criminal history record information provisions shifted up one letter designation.

Applies retroactively to June 30, 2020.
