HB 2913 Summary

• Amends A.R.S. § 20-321.01 to consolidate conflicting versions created by Laws 2020, chapter 67 and Laws 2021, chapter 5, incorporating all amendments into a single version based on the Laws 2014, chapter 25 version.

• Repeals the conflicting versions of § 20-321.01 from Laws 2020, chapter 67, section 2 and Laws 2021, chapter 5, section 6 to prevent duplicate or defective statutory text.

• Repeals Laws 2021, chapter 172, section 1 (§ 22-248) which failed to incorporate House amendments from February 24, 2021 and contained conflicting language with House Bill 2579.

• Amends A.R.S. § 36-3201 to consolidate conflicting versions from Laws 2019, chapter 72 and chapter 314 by incorporating all amendments into a single version and repealing the chapter 314 version.

• Makes amendments retroactively effective to August 24, 2020 for § 20-321.01 changes and December 31, 2020 for § 36-3201 changes.
