Barbara Lubin, a lifelong Arizona Democratic Party activist and director of operations, passed away on February 6, 2021 at age 63 following a battle with breast cancer.

Lubin was born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 8, 1957 and graduated from Flagstaff High School and Northern Arizona University with degrees in journalism and business administration.

She worked as an Arizona Senate aide, for Corporation Commissioner Jim Weeks, and trained political candidates at the Clean Elections Institute, Progressive Majority, and Arizona Democratic Party.

Lubin mentored numerous candidates for office and volunteered extensively for Democratic campaigns and community organizations including her daughter's school PTA and Madison School District's art masterpiece program.

The Legislature extends sympathies to Lubin's surviving family members: husband Stanley (married 33 years), daughter Jessica, son-in-law James Hall, and granddaughters, as well as siblings and extended family.
