Senate Bill 1149 Summary

• Changes the chapter 43 heading in Title 32 from "Licensure, Certification and Registration of Military Members" to "Board Licensure, Certification and Registration"

• Allows out-of-state applicants and military spouses to obtain occupational or professional licenses or certificates in Arizona without examination if they have been licensed in another state for at least one year in the same discipline and practice level, meet equivalent standards, and satisfy other specified conditions

• Requires regulating entities to determine whether disciplinary actions from other jurisdictions have been resolved before issuing or denying licenses, and mandates suspension of applications if complaints or investigations are pending elsewhere

• Prohibits licenses issued under this section from making applicants eligible to participate in interstate compacts

• Mandates that all regulating entities prominently print a notice on license applications and websites informing applicants of their right to obtain a license if they have been licensed in another state for at least 12 months at the same practice level
