AZ SB1182

Raises the minimum age for juvenile delinquency from 10 years old to 12 years old, making only children 12 and older subject to delinquency proceedings.

Changes the definition of "delinquent act" to require that the juvenile committing the act must be at least 12 years of age.

Modifies the definition of "dependent child" to raise the age threshold from under 8 years to under 12 years for children found to have committed acts that would constitute delinquency or incorrigibility.

Updates section 8-307 to require children 12 years of age or older (instead of 10 years or older) to appear in juvenile court when complaints for delinquent acts are filed against them.
