AZ SB1193

Repeals existing section 41-1608 of Arizona Revised Statutes and establishes a new section with the same number.

Requires the Arizona Department of Corrections to directly administer all correctional health care services beginning June 30, 2022.

Prohibits the department from entering into contracts with private entities to administer correctional health care services.

Defines "correctional health care services" to include all medical, mental health, and dental services provided to prisoners in state-owned and operated facilities.
