AZ SB1199

Adds Chapter 19.1 to Title 36 of Arizona Revised Statutes regarding limited service pregnancy centers.

Requires that any ultrasound performed on a pregnant woman at a limited service pregnancy center must be performed by a licensed or certified health care provider whose scope of practice includes performing ultrasounds.

Defines "health care provider" as an individual licensed or certified under Title 32 to provide health care services in Arizona.

Defines "limited service pregnancy center" as an organization providing pregnancy counseling or information for a fee or free of charge that does not perform abortions, make abortion referrals, or provide abortion or contraception services, and is not licensed or certified by the state or federal government to provide medical or health care services.

Excludes from the definition of limited service pregnancy centers any licensed health care providers, hospitals, abortion clinics, or family planning clinics that perform abortions or provide contraception services.
