Career technical education districts are excluded from receiving letter grade assignments under Arizona's school accountability system established in section 15-241.

Career technical education districts must still be included in the department of education's annual achievement profiles with specific performance indicators including graduation rates, program completion rates, assessments, and postgraduation employment and enrollment rates.

The department of education develops specific criteria applicable to career technical education districts that are separate from those used for traditional schools and based on applicable federal vocational education laws.

Career technical education districts remain subject to performance audits by the auditor general, who shall consider the differences and applicable laws unique to career technical education districts.
